Has anyone had luck reusing the keypad flex when they've swapped a new housing onto their razr?

I imagine that it could be done, as long as you make sure to disassemble the hing portion correctly, and then reassemble the hinges in the correct order. The cable shouldn't get mangled.

reusing the key flex is a HUGE PITA!! We almost always just replace them. Any damage could result in something not working correctly and to find that out after reassembly sucks.

Since we have a technique and can disasseble and reassemble these quite fast, we do (but we always have replacements on hand as we screw them up plenty of times!!).

yeah the keypad flex is usually replaced with a new one.. My razr is in the shop right now and even though my problem is not with the keypad flex, they are replacing it cus they told me theyre waiting for the part (flex) then i will get it back thats why its taking longer than normal.
