However, I still think that there is more good about the Treo 750 and 680 than there is bad. I'd be pretty happy with either one. Everyone has preferences...there are some devices I have never tried and don't ever plan to so if Neo doesn't like the Treo than that means there is an extra one out there for those who want one! |
its the 680 that has huge issues with battery life

Now Palm thinks they can just mosey on in and make it square and that's how it's gonna be. I wish M$ never coded in the 240x240 option in PPC.
Can you imagine if Dell started shipping the AXIM's with 240x240 screens... |

As a Cingular Rep I got a ton of arguments about the Treo, more than any other phone. The 680 and 750 might be better though, I havent used either yet. |

That said, my biggest stumbling block in owning a Treo has nothing to do with the Treo itself. It's Hillary. Hillary works down the hall. Well, "works" might be a very liberal use of the verb. She mostly shops for clothes on the Intarweb and performs maintenance on her immaculately manicured nails, whether it's painting, filing or removing polish. And that's when she actually comes in to work. Hillary owns a Treo 650. She's 22, maybe 23, and uses that Treo 650 to constantly text message her other just-out-of-college friends, all of whom I can only imagine are saying roughly the same thing: "O my gawd, did u see Jordan last nite?!" "My boss just gave me work to do. What a jerk!" "Can't make dinner 2nite, have a tanning appt." "Luv this Treo! It's so deck!" Hillary couldn't care less about mobile technology; she owns a Treo because it's what all her friends own. In other words, the Treo is a brilliant device that has been fast adopted by the masses -- including the "Hillarys" of the world. That's great for it, and awesome for Palm. But I want something different, something unique. I want something that gets me excited every time I take it out of my pocket. I want a phone that thrills me with a relentless reminder of the extraordinary possibilities of mobile technology. That's why I carry a Hermes. That's why I carry a Universal. That's why I will carry an Omni. Cheers! ![]() |
, that is exactly one if not the biggest reason (no wait it is the biggest reason) on why I hate this thing , Every single time I see a treo on somebody it makes my stomach twirl . . . why ?? because they think because they own a "smart phone" they are smart

must we have this conversation over and over again , if you are driving you are not supposed to be using your phone (I do use it a lot , but thru MVC) if you are driving you are not supposed to sms , and if you people do , I really do hope you get a ticket , before you do something dumb with your car
and if you are not driving and still to busy or to lazy to use more than one hand , then you my friends need a secretary or an assistant , I mean if you are to busy to use both hands than you can probably afford it

There is a reason there are a TON of these devices being sold and a reason people generally love them. Until you try it, then I just can't give your arguments a lot of credibility

The only thing that I really care is that you have a good device that works for you.
