choppy video playback issues with youtube and my slider

hey guys/gals, just figured out how to download youtube videos and convert them into 3gp files automatically but when i load em onto my card and play em on my phone the audio is great but the video doesnt keep up and is choppy as all get out, what gives? any clues on why this could be happening?
