IT says 8525 broadcasting on network must stop?

Hey all,

I rec'd a call today from my IT dept asking if I had a phone connected to the network. They said that they were seeing MANY broadcasts coming from an unknown IP.
Basically they said that i could connect it to the computer for updating outlook but that i had to find a way to make sure it didn't broadcast on the network.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? What would be broadcasting so much to attract their attention?

I am connecting the 8525 through USB and it looks like it is accessing the network through active sync.
Is there a way to set it up to only access the work computer and not the whole network? and of course to easily switch it to normal configuration for home use?
