Is the SE T300 Worth it?

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a new phone that has the capability to take photos, and the best one that I've seen for the price is 200 pounds, that comes with the camera for free.

The question is, is this a good price and the best I'll get for that price region? I'm not looking for a phone that comes with a load of features that I'm not likely to need like you would get with phones aimed at business users - i'm mainly looking for a phone that has good games, photo messaging, and good ringtones (or the capability to download them yourself).

So, would you guys think this is the best phone for me? If you have any other ideas, I'd like to here them.

Finally, if I buy that phone for that price, I'm not buying it just before some massive price drop?

Cheers

Stuart Milne

IMO, T300 has the most bang for its bucks!

I actually got the phone but returned it the next day, because it was just too quiet.

In a crowded place like a bar, you can hardly hear a thing on the other end of the phone, while my Nokia 5210 would hear things fine.

I didn't like how big it was and the RF was bad

The screen, plastic feel and the lousy calendar (or lack) put me off the T300.

If you can go for a contract, get a T720i on T-mobile, it'd be free, and you can go for a pretty cheap (£15/month) contract.

The T720 has better games (more available in the long term with Java than on Mophun), although the ring tones probably aren't as good as the T300.

for the money you cannot get a better phone than the se t300, imho. the size is only slightly larger than the t68i. the build quality is slightly less quality than the t698i but still pretty solid. of course, the rf is better too. I think that it is the phone for you. no it doesn't have a calendar. it doesn't have bluetooth, but you said that you don't need these functions. so why pay for them. I have had the phone for about a month and it is one of my favorites.
