I think I bought my car with too many miles.. so far i've had it for 2 and a half months.. and today its at 29,800 miles for a 2 year old car..isn't the average 12k a year..?

depends on how you look at it. IF 12k a year is average and the 2005 car m.y. is like 2.5 years old. so 12k * 2.5 = 30k so it could be right on. It depends on my 2005 i have 17k, but on my dad 2005 he had over 80k when he traded it.

what kinda car is it?

i know that most bmw's and like expensive cars have a yearly allowance of 12-16k a year (low kilometer lease)

i know that i avg about 20-25k kilometers a year lol. i always thought the average was 20k kilometers

The car is most likely closer to 2.5 years old. The car could have been purchased summer/fall 2004. So that mileage isnt so bad, 29,800/2.5=11,920 per year.
