looks like when u bought the phone u got screwed over...

flash it

Maikurukun, did you say that you purchased the 903 from easycell canada.
That's bad news dealing with them. They killed my 903SH too, when I sent it to them to fully unlock it and flash it.

Easycell is bad news and they are terrible. All of us who have been screwed over by them should team up and make them pay.

My phone was working perfectly fine with the beta unlock when I sent it to them for full unlocking. When they sent me the phone it was starting restarting with the initialization screen in Japanese. I called them and they lied and said that the phone was tested by several techs before they shipped it off and it was in working condition. They asked me to ship the phone back and they would look at it and reflash it. They lied and ended up telling me that the flash chip was bad in the phone before they had ever touched it.
Seeing that they re-shipped the phone to me from Hong Kong the first time proved that they were lying each time I called them asking where my phone was since they shipped it to Hong Kong to try and fix their mess-up in Canada. They just lied to me each time I called them to ask what was taking so long and why I had not gotten my phone.

Check the threads; there have been numberous complaints with their service and products.

BEWARE OF EASYCELL IN CANADA!!

I agree with AZN on that one you for sure need to flash it lets hope they havent screwed up the flash chip tho. I had that happen to my old 902sh didnt get flashed correctly by the person that had it but had it reflashed and bingo it is still working to this day.

Care to PM me the address of "jacob jpceullar" hehe?
I kneed to fix my beuatiful new green 703SH. (I'm thinking if he can flash 902s, he can do 703s right?)

Thanks!!

And relating to easycell, i went to their store to try and fix my 703SH, and they didn't know how. I'm just like what!?! You even listed that you can unlock and flash them from your website!

Posted by: azn_boi_128

dont go to easy cell or simistar they both dont know jack

http://www.jpcellrepair.com/

Posted by: Maikurukun

damn haha. i guess i should ask for a refund.

Posted by: Maikurukun

so.. does this mean that everybody else that worked with easycell was screwed over??
i paid money for my testpoint unlock... grrrr..

(I'm sure if it was the normal unlock.. it would be fine. They seem to be screwing up the testpoint unlocks)

Posted by: azn_boi_128

test point screwes up ur phone ... really dont get those its bad as hell...

the 903 costs too much to be doen up like that

Posted by: Montoya

maybe you should try bongowireless to reflash 903. I didn't hear bad stuff about easycell before hmm :|

Posted by: Maikurukun

hahaha funny thing.. i just called bongowireless..
If its just flashing, they'll charge me 60$...
So lesson for today is, don't go to Easycell. They are evil.

Posted by: Kevbodian

test point flashing/unlocking is not dangerous at all. the only danger is if the person who is doing it doesnt care about the customer and only the money. ive never killed a 903 or any other phone that requires a testpoint unlock/flash. its simply a matter of carelessness.

Posted by: Maikurukun

oh well.... i've decided to never do business with easy cell again.
^^ Bongowireless just gained another customer.

Posted by: warrior128

got the same problem as mentioned. use the "#+power on" option and managed to get my 903sh in good working condition again.

perhaps you would want to give it a try...

ps: do remember to take out your mini-sd and sim card before attempting to re-initialize with this option. good luck!

Posted by: Maikurukun

there is no #+power on option in the Japanese Firmware.
Thats only for hybrids and European firmware i believe.

Plus.. the dangers outweigh the benfits i think for the #+power option.

Although thanks for the suggestion, ^^ everybody is trying to help everybody else on this forums. Thanks everybody.

Ya that is why I finally joined this site after about 3 years of being just the browser for info and goodies. Everyone here is a huge help they have helped so many times.

Posted by: Maikurukun

OHH.. it seemed like.. Easycell really messed up my phone... Bongowireless said that the usual testpoint ... is not working.. and they have to find a new spot to do a testpoint unlock? ....

Now.. i have no idea what a testpoint unlock involves, other than opening up the phone...

I hope they repair it soon. >,<

Posted by: Ultraman666

Man that sucks hate when companies have no idea how to do something and totaly mess it up so bad that the next place has to stand on their head to get it fixed

The sad part about my 903sh being butchered by easycell.ca was that it was the earlier version and did not require a test point unlock, but just the regular flash unlock method. I presume easycell in canada still tried to use the test point unlock on my phone without looking at the date and that's how they burnt my flash chip. although they say that the flash chip was bad before they ever touched the phone. I called timsta who said if the flash chip is bad it is useless. I ended up sending my 903sh to the company from which i purchased and they confirmed that the phone had been opened. so easycell with their dumbheads tried to do a test point unlock on a phone that did not require one. the audacity of lies they told me was autrocious. i felt like sueing them, and probably still will, even though i am all the way in the southern u.s. I suppose that's why they seamed so eager to tell me any amount of lies, because being so far away what else could i do but vent on the phone and on emails, unless I got an international lawyer and sued them.

if you live close to them am sure you they can offer you some sort of refund or compensation if you purchased the phone from them. at least that's what they told me, when i asked what they could do to remedy their terrible service and the defect that they caused with my 903sh. they told me that if i had purchased the phone from them they would have gladly replaced the phone with another one. of course they denied having anything with the phone not working although it was working brilliantly, not freezing, restarting automatically, or not working at all before i sent it to them.

ahhhh this makes me angry.

I miss my beautiful red baby...

this sucks, now i dont know where to unlock my 903sh, i was thinking gsmliberty since its the cheapest i can find.

Posted by: Ultraman666

Timista!!!

Posted by: Maikurukun

lol.. i got it from bongowireless the other day. .. ya. its fried.
So i gave it back to easycell to let them have another go. IF they can revive it. i'l be happy.. if not.. then damn.. theres no more 903SH in the market..... what to do... i'm certain that going to ask them for compensation

Posted by: ace587

im sending in my 903sh tom to iunlock, hopefully everything turns out good, its an august 05 version

Posted by: satisfcuktion

GO flash it @ PLUS ONE! (assuming you are in GTA) 'evilgabbie' works there, GREAT people, knowledgable and very caring for their customers. They will definately not pull a dumbarse move easycell did. www.plus-one.ca

ps. I'm not affilated with PLUS ONE in any way lol, just great people!

Posted by: toto903

Easycell.ca fried another one!!

No he can not flash it if the flash chip is fried. That's the same thing that easycell did to my 903SH. He is out of luck unless he buys another flash chip which is just as much as buying a new 903SH.

That is funny that it happened. And to think that easycell.ca told me that they flash numerous phones and didn't have any problems untill they did my phone --which they claimed was already defective?--bullsh*t!!

WEEEEEEEEW! beat the h*LL out of darren, analia, and the other suckers for me! when you get there. I would if I wasn't so far away.

Posted by: ace587

lil off topic, but here ya go, im gonna unlock my 903sh myself using totalmultiserver, its an august 2005 production date, will it be smooth or not?, i just bought a cruiser, and ill just follow the protocol at TMS, is there anything else i should do?? ;P

Posted by: Havo

I got mine flashed by gabbie... works great. No probs what so ever... He told me that some places that flash your phone, forget to put the heat sink bank in it and it overheats eventually and just dies. Maybe they forgot to put yours back in.

Posted by: Maikurukun

hmmm interesting new news!
... I got my 903SH back... but it was Easycell which repaired it for free. (Well it was their fault) and Bongowireless was no help. =P

But an intersting topic came up while we were discussing the 903SH abuot firmware.

According to Easycell, when you upgrade to a higher firmware.. forexample, they gave me the Smartone Vodafone most latest firmware. Its hard to go back to Japanese. Which never got any updates to the firmware i guess. So when they flashed back the files, incompabilities between japan firmware and hk firmware would arrise, hence causing the phone to crash and reset.

When they put Japanese firmware, it was crashing all the time. So i told them to put HK firmware. Went to eat lunch for 30 minutes, came back and everything was working.

On the other hand. i think they just have a bad flash. lol

Any speculation? I'm planning to go to Kyoto this summer, so flashing back to Japanese isn't really that big of a issue anymore. ^^ pick up the Sh903i Foma so pretty.
