Vx9900 & Bitpm take forever to load ???

I am running the newest version of Bitpm on my Intel 6400 Dual core box with my VX9900 phone and the software takes forever to load. Anyone have a clue why this is? It graps huge amounts of processing power and loads something like 300 megs into memory. Software runs fine once it finally loads, but the Bitpm logo stays on my screen for like 2 minutes while it is loading. Is this normal, or do I need to set something differently?

check the bitpim dowload site for a variation more suited to your system
they actually put out muliple versions, even one for the MAC, and ( i think ) they even used too have one that ran under python as script.

From what I can tell there is only one version that works with WinXP.
