Should I flash/flex?

I bought an unbranded/unlocked Razr V3i off ebay. I haven't gotten it yet, but should sometime next week. Cingular is my carrier, and I've always read for the phone to operate properly with cingular tower switching, the phone needs to have a cingular flex.
The phone is a v3i, but instead of itunes it comes with motorolas mp3 player (DAP). Would I have to flash a cingular v3r software to it? Or could I leave the motorola unbranded, and just use a cingular flex? Thanks

Just set it up for cingular unless you want the mall icons and such......as for the tower switching....seem 0001_0032 offset 8B bit 4 cingular ens capable (1 on, 0 off)
