Bluetooth not compatible with American aftermarket products

Hi, I just purchased a motorola rokr e6 from my phone store and I'm having problems bonding with an after market car bluetooth system. What it is that i'm trying to do is to bond it with my cars navigation system. For some reason it doesn't bond but all other phones that i tried do bond, is it because its a european version gprs? the e6 rokr is a unlocked version and was wondering if anybody knows how to change the bluetooth program to make it compatible with US aftermarket products. is there such a program that does this that i can use to do so ? i need help! thank you! rob
