I have tried almost everything I could think of. When I go to the router's main page, all the other computers AND my PPC is listed as connected but there is no connectivity between the desktops and the PPC. It would be much easier to be able to directly download right to the PPC instead of having to get it to the desktop that has activesync, then sync the PPC, and then explore, then drag and drop. |

Will you use these features enough to compensate for the added size/weight/complexity and the reduced call quality/battery life/and ease of use? I'm interested in buying the phone if this is possible, and retains all the previous functionality. I'm really just interested in AIM running 24/7 on the phone, and the ability to watch movies(with subtitles). |

However, if your MMS messages aren't coming through, it's because of one of two things: --Your MMS may require a proxy to connect. We here in the Cricket forums have since fixed this by eliminating the dial-up proxy altogether. When we need to connect through proxy, we use a third-party web browser such as Opera or Minimo. --You may need to do the registry hack that allows WiFi and voice at the same time. By default, earlier models of the xv7600 were shipped without this capability, but people have since learned how to bypass this limitation in the registry. |
This has since been the case. Interesting though. Must be a proxy setup.|
I'm not wise on smsthreader, so I have no advice for you here. |

AFAIK, the phone is limited to 2GB. Also I hear that 4GB cards can be dubious--that they are actually 2GB cards formatted as 4GB. I would search more if I were you before taking the risk, unless you can find one for a steal of a bargain. |

The phone DOES support GPS! It has the GPS circuitry in it already! See if you can download VZNavigator for your handset. |

Yup. Only if you buy services that cost more that are unique to the phone. EVDO, essentially, is just an internet connection to your phone. Once on it, Outlook looks for it's mail like any other outlook. By connecting to the proper ports on the server you specify. WiFi or EVDO, if it has an internet connection, it'll try mail. Now in ACTIVESYNC you have to tell it that you're connecting to activesync over wireless, but that's only if you're using active sync. Patience, grasshopper. Yup, set your outlook server and ports in settings and give it a wifi connection that it can reach your server on, and GO. |

I have a BT headset I am going to try and use while using the inav to see if it will work better that way...
The phone itself could also be a little louder but it is loud enough unless you have the windows open on the highway. I have a cassette player in my truck so I connect the output jack to the stereo and play mp3's with the inav running. The phone lowers the music slightly, tells the next direction, then goes back to playing! perfect! I don't know about the golf side of things.... |

I bought a leather belt case that has a magnet that holds it closed. The magnet seems to be tripping the on switch in the slide. So what happens is whenever I put it in the case, it gets turned on and then odd combinations of button presses occur. This usually requires a soft reboot. I'm not willing to settle for putting it in my pocket. |

My printer has USB|Ethernet|Wireless|BT built-in, so if there is a driver, I should able to print directly to the printer, either thru Bluetooth pairing or thru the Wi-Fi transport. |

REMEMBER when you send a txt, it goes over the reg phone line, but when sending pix-flix it goes over the evdo or 1x data. Remember to shut off the data connection after finished so you don't accidently go onto PIE and get KB charges. I use wifi for internet but there is no way to block the dialup and still use the pix-flix plan. If I click on PIE it will automatically go to the #777 dialup first (KB charges) unless wifi is connected (free)
Good luck |
