Will a BTR6700 battery work in a Cingular 8525?

Maybe you folks know thre answer. Will the BTR6700 battery work in my Cingular 8525? I want to get a spare battery for the phone, but I'm having trouble sorting out which battery to get. Cingular does not even offer a spare battery as an accessory so they must not know which one to use either. I bought a non-oem battery from Ebay but it turns out to be just a little too thick so the case back does not close snugly. I need to try again. Any pointers here would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the tip. I will follow up on it.
Isn't it ridiculous that there are no OEM batteries for HTC phones? Or at least HTC does not seem to offer a line of factory approved batteries. As I said in my original post, the spare battery I bought on Ebay didn't fit properly, as is often the case with after-market goods. But ALL the batteries sold for 8525 are after-market with all their attendant risks. When Cingular won't even offer a replacement battery for its premium phone, it doesn't bode well.

The part number was listed incorrectly on the site. The battery we use for the Cingular 8525 is just a hair thinner than the PPC6700. Your link is correct, but we've updated the PPC6700 link.
