LG6100 Ringtons do not play on car kit

Maybe someone has an answer to this. I uploaded various ringtones I have created to my lg6100. I used bitpin to do this. The wave files were converted to the proper format. I hear the ringtones perfictly through the speaker of the phone when I receive a call and when I manually play it back. When I have the phone plugged into my car kit (LG Portable Handsfree Kit) , I do not hear any of the ringtones, only the MIDI tones in the phone. When I unplug the phone from the car kit, I hear everything. Any Ideas? Thank you all for your time.
