I have a GD87,

Does anyone experience when they are low on bat power the phone gives out a very anoying beep beep sound?
I cant seem to turn the function on and it bugs me a lot!
Help guys!

Charge the battery or shut the mobile off.
Sorry that is all that is available

If you turn the warning tones of this will stop the battery beep.

Not sure what else it silences.

Key tones still work as does SMS alert and ring tones.

Wow, I learn something everyday, thanks

Problem is that i already have the warning tone turned off !
Dont know wht it keeps beeping again!

Likewise. On my GD87 turning warning tones off has no effect on the battery low beeps.

Not that it's particularly a problem, but I wonder what is considered a warning if not battery low.

Regards.

I have warning tones off and don't hear the low battery signal, I'll switch the tones on again and let you know what happens.

It will be a couple of days before I find out as I've just charged the phone

Now that is strange. I deliberately ran down my battery so as to see how long it would last, and what beeps would be emitted (sad, I know). As soon as the beeps started, along with the battery symbol being red, I turned off warning tones, and the phone continued beeping.

So, I guess this is either because:

1) I would have needed to disable the warning tones before the low battery situation arises (and, possibly, reboot the phone?)

or

2) It could be a firmware issue. I'm on A19 on Orange in the UK.

As I said before, I'm not particularly bothered about this, as I like to know when the battery is about to die. It's just curious.

Regards.

I also have A19 on Orange, so not likely to be a factor.

Only other thing is I have the Key Volume set to zero, maybe thats related.

I usually wait till batt symbol goes red, and sometimes wait till phone switches its self off, never heard the warning tone (it was the first thing I switched off as I find it annoying).

I've switched the warning tones on and I'll keep you posted about what happens.

Another thing is you take a picture with the battery low there is no click sound. My low battery warning turns off with the warning tones, I have A19 with Orange

I've got the A22 and the alert OFF and the battery alert still remains...i think that it disappears on QUITE MODE but i'm not sure!
i dont know why! but it's like that!
we have no luck :'(

That is really going to SUCK come time to watch a movie with a dead battery.

A question about the low batt alert, as I said previously I've never heard this and the batt symbol has now gone red, but no beeps.

Do you get the beeps as soon as the batt symbol goes red?

Whats the pattern of the beeps (i.e. just one or group of 2 or more)?

sounds like BOMB as been planted in CS lol
BIPBIP..silent...BIPBIP

I get the beep when the phone is about to shut off.
I dont get the beep as it turns red...usually about 1-2mins before the phone is about to shut off.

I get two beeps together then a slight pause and it comes on again.. the only way to get rid of it is have warning tones off for me

Posted by: Bazzer

Actually heard the low batt tones, its actually quite mutted, so its possible I missed them anyway.

The tone still sounds if the phone is in silent mode.

I'll revert to my previous setting (warning tones off) and see what happens.
