I guy is selling a 903sh that he says its broken. he said he'd power on the phone but nothing appears. Now he selling it for 50$ but im convinced that it will work again if i ship it somewhere to get it fixed. am i wrong?? I mean is there any chances that it will work again woth some magic technique or something inside is burned and won't work at all forever??
thanks!

$50 is cheap for parts. Consider this I got my broken k790i for $120 then fixed the erom with wotan. That's before I used up my credit to update the firmware and have myself a working one... usual price of $300. It was a good gamble in this case.

More than likely a flash will fix that

be sure to check it..... water/over shocked?

really?! a flash will fix it? Lets say something is disconnected or burned inside, is the flash still the solution? Im not interested into re-selling the phone to get profit, i just wanna make it work it again...
The thing im surprised is he told me he used it only few weeks and now its just not worknig anymore, so in my mind im just thinking that a 500$ can't just stop working forever so suddenly...

a 500$ phone can't just stop*******

(sorry)

a $500 phone can stop if the guy who worked on it is dumb. if a solder is broken, good luck fixing that.

The guy finally told me the reason;
the phone was damaged due to water exposure because he used it while it was raining.
So is there something we can do to make it work again?
What if i send it back to Sharp? Is it possible that they fix it even if i pay extra??

Or if not, what is the best thing i can do with it? Like hoe much does it worth if i resell the parts?

thanks

Water damage is unrepairable; the damaged part has to be replaced. Depending on the extent of the water damage, the phone might be repairable or it might not be.

do u think sharp company can do something if we send it back? i mean change the main broken part...

it's very unlikely if you live in Canada, where they don't sell the phone at all... only use I can think of is scraping it for parts - plenty of people are after parts etc.

water damage is every company's scape goat. if you tell them or they think its water damage then they WILL NOT fix the phone.

check under the battery (i think near the sim holder), there should be a piece of litmus that may indicate the water damage as well. if im not mistaken the paper should be white with red X's on it. if water damaged it will be another print or colour.

Wow didnt know that thanks Kevbodian a huge help there, so that is how they find out if it has had water damage good to know

On Sharps when they get water damaged the white papers with red crosses blur and smudge a lot. That's what happened to my brother's GX25 that got washed in the washing machine.
