display different phone number when you call

i heard that you can display a different number from the dash when you place a phone call. let me explain. you can type what ever number you wish and when you call someone that number will show on there caller id! making it look like you are someone els calling! does any one know about this or know if it is true?

u can make private call..the unknown number will appear..other than that..im not sure
