IM on 8525. Is it real time?

Currently, I have service with Tmobile and have a MDA. When I connect to any of my IM clients, I have noticed that I don't have a real time connection. With my sidekick, all IM messages come in immediately. With MDA, I don't get my messages immediately or even close to that. I have to wait for my phone to reconnect to the internet each time to check for messages waiting. Does anyone know if this is an issue on the 8525 or if they corrected that problem with this model? I'm very interested in moving into a 8525 but want to make sure this is the phone for me. Any help would be appreciated.

I think it might have to do with which IM client you are using.

Which IM client would work better? I've tried Verichat and IM+. It seems that I have no luck actually getting the messages on my phone when they come in... There's a lag before they come down to my phone. ???

With IM+ I always get messages immediately
