Hi, anyone have any problems/resolutions connecting to a secured Wi-Fi network. I can connect to an unsceured Wi-Fi without any problems, but when I need to use WPA or WPA2, it will not connect even though I have excellent signal. I am trying to connect to my home network, and I am two feet away from the access-point.

Make sure ALL the settings are correct. One small setting being incorrect can make it not function.

I had a different problem but I'll tell you the solution b/c it worked for me.
Problem: Couldn't connect to a secure LEAP non-broadcasted AP. The source of my problem was that the authentication process failed to be validated. The solution was to install a client root certificate onto my phone.
I exported several root certificates from my home PC (the microsoft and verisign class I primary root certificate as i already had the class II & III) Once exported I installed them on my phone and now the connection works.
From my basic understanding, secure protocol connections are validated by verfying the identification of the host and client and if your phone cannot authenticate is identity (by a public root certificate) the connection fails.
If you google certificates and wm5, you will find out how to export certificates from your computer and install them on your phone
hope this helps.

Not trying to hijack this thread... but im having similar issues in a sense... as long as i connect and use my connection im fine, but if i step away it disconnects.. thats fine cause i set it up to disconnect when the phone is not in use / idle.. my issue is then when i return in most cases.. i have to re-enter my SSID and NETWORK KEY to re-establish my connection.. is some settings im not doing right to hold that? i would have hoped it was like your wireless laptop.. you configure it and save it.. its there anytime you want it...
Is there some 3rd party app that helps in the wi-fi area.. maybe something to manage your secure connection better?
It would be nice to be able to save my different wi-fi settings so they are available anytime i need it instead of having to enter them over and over..
Hope it was ok to post this here..
