Ya good info that is for sure the link on the page about it coming out in 20 colors is interesting and the info here is what they said.....

"Softbank Japan made an official announcement of the Sharp 812SH this morning, a phone that we have already shown you the spy pics a few weeks ago. The main selling point here is the availability of 20 color variations. The rest of the functions aren’t weak either. The Face-recognition security program for Felica electronic money and the remote-lock anti-theft function are all in place. The main display is a 2.4″ QVGA ASV screen, external display is a monochrome OLED; the camera is a 2MP CMOS with fixed focus lens, microSD cards of up to 1GB are supported. Size is 49×97x17.6mm and weight is 105g. The 812SH runs on the Softbank W-CDMA network in Japan and can also roam on Tri-band GSM outside Japan. The phone will be on shelves in early February. We’re not optimistic about unlocking such device given the history of 904SH. More pictures after the jump"

If only there was some Softbank plan that didn't come with bundled domestic minutes (for example- only pay to keep the number, and usage is charged at a fixed per-minute rate) so that I could have a Japanese phone and still use it in the States cheaply (to a limit- 100yen/minute sounds expensive- same for 5yen/KB data).

i just got my phone lol, well the 705t has been unlocked, hopefully the 705p is next

toshibas are not a problem since they can jst be flashed with HK FW, like tx62, tx80, but i dnt know about the 705p, and isnt abt time DoCoMo release more international roaming phones, im giving up the search for the n900ig

Yang, go get the White Plan from Softbank, you pay just 980 yen/month with no included minutes. If you lived in Japan you'd get free Softbank to Softbank calls and 42 yen/minute to everyone else.

Azn, they showed up on the Bluetooth SIG in December. That's hardly an announcement or unveiling of details, lol.

Anyway as Uncle says they're not THAT fantastic, these phones. Nothing the worldwide competition doesn't already match in specs today.
