So I was demoing a bb pearl and setup my account on it (more like transfered my existing one to it) after I was done using it I went back to my old bb and reauthorized it. However the new user is not able to setup a new bb account because its already tied to mine. How do I remove this link?

You need to log into your carrier's blackberry website (I only know how to do with Cingular), and remove the reference to the pin number associated with your BIS account. I gave my 8700c to a friend when I got my 7130c and had to do this.

I have cingular as well. Doesn't my pin auto associate with my current imei when I log into personal email setup on the bb and tell it that this device is the one I want to use?

Sometimes you need to call the Blackberry Support and have them remove it. I would give that a shot if it's not working thru the BIS or device.

If you download Desktop Manager ver 4.2 from the RIM site you can make these changes easily from your computer by going to the BIS site.

archer6, I used the Desktop manager that I had downloaded from the RIM website back in September and I still had to call BB data support to remove that PIN from my account. when I started using my Pearl. Generally, when I use the BIS site, it goes through with no need for me to call BB data support.
