Has anyone been able to tether a mac through bluetooth using a 3g modem script? I can get great speeds, 1600 kbps, with no drops using a usb cable but I get disconnected if I go to a page with lots of graphics or try to do a bandwidth test if I tether using bluetooth. The only way I can get bluetooth tethering working is to drop the connection speed setting to 115200 bps in the modem script (it should be at 460800) which means I'm basically using the edge script and not getting 3g speeds. When I do that I only get 225 kbps speeds. I need help. Thanks. I'm using the generic 3g scripts, but I also tried the motorola 3g scripts.

p.s. I don't expect the same speed using bluetooth, but my lg cu500 gets 500 kbps using bluetooth and doesn't get disconnected using the 3g script.

I've been trying on my v3xx for two days for just the BT connection. I've noticed the disconnect over BT, I wonder if it's some kind of overflow... I dunno.

I set the phone on data mode, plugged it in and waited for the phone to show up in the network preference pane. Then, I used the same settings as the bluetooth connection and it just worked.

I would like to know how did you get your motorola v3xx hockup with ur mac osx can you tell me the steps.. what modem and everything else.. it doesn't matter if is thru usb or bluetooth.. thanks

I tried again tonight, and sure enough, the phone just pops up as a modem. It works FAST over USB! I got 1108kbps download!

I dunno why Bluetooth is hanging though.

I can get the phone online but the connection drops as soon as it connects, anybody have any ideas???? what modem script r u guys using for os x?

On BT, the same thing happens to me.

On USB, it's solid.

I am using the 3G Motorola scripts

I am a complete newbie on these things

and would like to know how exactly to use my phone as a modem. I use windows xp pro and would defiantly like to connect my phone and get 3g speeds on the road

. Please if you can help me it would be much appreciated
