ok i have my chocolate, i have the data cable, i have (and hate) bitpim, i have mp3's...

i can get the ringtones to work, but i can not send over any full length mp3. i either get no error and it doesn't work, a com5 error and it doesn't work or the length of the song is to long error and it doesn't work.

can somebody give me an idea to try or some advice? i do not have a micro sd card yet, do i need one for this?

thanks for you help!

use the 'file system option' ( file tree ) in bitpim

goto the music folder , right click, new file,

make sure the mp3 file name is 30 charactors or LESS and there are NO oddball symbols in the file name ()#$%^&*@!

just letters, numbers, underscore etc..

memory for music is limited, only 3 or 4 meg for music on the phone , in, internal memory

yes i know the phone has more memory, and NO you can't use it for music, if your try you will screw up the phone, the memory is pre-allocated for differrent file types and functions
