but how do you turn on the flashlight on the Audiovox PPC 6600????

To be honest, I don't know........ The manual on P. 13 says "Built in Flashlight" so I guess so.......

The flashlight refers to the flash for the camera... it is extremely bright although and can be used as a flashlight (I know from experience the 6600 was my previous phone)

Get Vijay555's Candela. Install it. Go into Settings->Buttons and set one of your buttons (e.g. hold recorder) to invoke VJCandela HW.

Now while you hold down the recorder button it'll illuminate.
