What's a 770SH actually worth???

Hey guys, I've recently lost my 903sh, replaced it with a n80 (paid a nice low price for it), but immediately disliked it and after some research the 770sh was my choice...

Is this phone easily unlockable? Vodafone NZ has it for $499nzd outright but what would it cost unlocked? I've been offered $475aud including post for a bnib unlocked 770sh set from the UK.

Is $475 a gd price? Will they stop unlocking 770sh's or something like that?

770SH can't be unlocked - but they can be sold already unlocked afaik,

$366 USD or 186GBP

Well, if anything a unlock is uncertain so, you could buy a 903 replacement at that price. But is a good phone

Posted by: avexdevil

yea I know a 903sh is possible at that price...but I want something different, the thought of having another 903sh brings back to much memories, and I wanted to try something new .

is the price worth it though?

edit: does anyone know what a unlocked handset is worth?

Posted by: ace587

nah i dont think so, if it were around 250 made sense

Posted by: avexdevil

it's $499 new (locked) I assume at NZ vodafone...so unlocked ones I bet are worth way more...

Posted by: Kevbodian

im pretty sure 770sh is unlocked after being sold by vodafone by code.

Posted by: avexdevil

then $475 is still a gd price.

. voda uk doesn't have it anymore
. voda ie doesn't have it anymore
. voda nz has it for $499nzd but will probably cost extra $$ to unlock

$475 seems like a pretty gd deal then...

And stupid Voda Australia never offered it at all. God I hate Vodafone Australia now, they're a bunch of idiots. (>_<)

wow not many ppl that own this phone on this forum who could comment?

how many themes do you get to choose from? my euro fw 903sh only haf 1 theme to use...

lamplighter has a 770sh, PM him

I have a 770sh, paid about 104 and then 10 pounds for the unlocking, brand new. The phone looks very nice, simple smooth lines, there is no light on the camera, the battery life is pants, but othewise a very nice phone.

Why does NZ have all the good Sharp phones? [The only Sharp GSM phones it appears]

Posted by: AL9999

Because they seem to be run by people with brains. They got all the Sharp phones bar the 802SH. Quite amazing really.

104+10gbp?? is that on a plan??

ouch i'm abt to pay ard 180gbp or so...ouch...

Posted by: raiden_t

No dude its just the handset no monthly contract, wow 180 is a bump, I feel the phone isnt worth that much. Do you have the 705sh? isnt that a better phone then the 770sh?

Posted by: avexdevil

i do haf the 705s but it's locked still...and no unlock solution for it as yet (like the 904sh)...function-wise doesn't have to be that good i had a n80 and i disliked it to the max...

anyone from NZ can confirm this phone is unlocked by default when sold by vodafone? that trademe site is horrible I Haf to put down a $10 deposit to be a proper member and you can't access seller's email addresses...
