Wow, Cingular gave me the unlock code for an AT&T phone.

I just got an A845 from ebay and needed to get it unlocked to work with my Cingular SIM. Well, I emailed customer support and told them I bought the A845, gave the the IMEI, and told them I needed to subsidy code to use it with my Cingular service. I completely didn't expect it to work, and really didn't want to wait, so I got it done here from the marketplace and got excellent and fast service. 
Well I got an email from Cingular today with the unlock code and instructions to use it. Now I know to just have patience if I ever get any more AT&T phones, lol.

yeah. cingular's been unlocking blue phones for awhile. you just need to fit a certain criteria.
