OK I just downloaded the release version of Windows Mobile Device Centre (labelled version 6) for Vista. It still doesn't work with my Blackjack. When the app launches and starts to connect, there is an error dialog saying there is a problem with the application.

Happens whether I try to connect via USB or Bluetooth.

Anyone having ANY luck with retail version of Vista (I'm on ultimate) and synching with a Blackjack through the WMDC?

I can't get it to work either on my BJ. It connects ok via USB but when I click (set up your device) a Vista window pops up and it says:
Windows Mobile Device Center Sync Host has stopped working

Check your WMDC version. It should be 6.0.6783 for the release version (release 1/31/07). I have a tough time get release version to update existing beta version. I have to unintsall, reinstall and reboot like 3 times until I got the correct version number shows in WMDC.

BlackJack now syncs just fine either through USB or BT.

The correct version is showing

I can browse the Blackjack with WMDC. I just cannot sync...same error as before.

Unfortunately there is no support for this software (other than us users!)

They cite d prob 2 b firewall related. Jus chek it out...

strange.... i have had no problem. then again, I did a clean vista install and anytime upgrade to ultimate and it's worked flawlessly. i have had the firewall disabled since install (read the modaco article) so that could be why.
