W810i FIRST DAY crapped!!! WHAT?!

Ok, so after careful consideration of all phones. I got a W801i, althought it is an MP3 player as well, I read so many reviews on GREAT signal (which it does seem to have). BUT the day after I got it for my girlfriend, one of her friends turned the volume up all the way on her phone while listening to an mp3 and the speaker all the sudden DOES NOT WORK. It's like busted, crackles and everything.

SO we are returning to best buy and getting a new one, BUT the whole point of this post was to see if this has happened to anyone else?

I was just wondering so that way I should warn friends NOT to turn up the volume, or if it is just a defective phone?

I havn't heard of this before now.

Mine stops playing music and makes a really loud buzzing noise out of no where.. Second one is coming in the mail.. I'm nervous, SE in the past have not held up very well (z500a, w600i)

no problems here, i turn it up full volume and play it through the speakers all the time. sounds like a defective one.

Mine starts buzzing too, if I turn the volume up high sometimes. I was showing someone what a good phone I had when that happened. Sometimes it will go away when I turn it down and sometimes I have to turn the walkman off. And it doesn't happen every time. I hadn't thought about getting a replacement. I've had it less than a week.

I was also showing off my phone to my friends and then it buzzed. Sometimes changing the song will work, sometimes I have to exit the walkman. It does this nearly every time I play music (not every song, just every time I use the walkman it happens at one point or another)

Are you going to take it back? I just tried again and couldn't get it to do it. I'd hate to risk getting a new phone with something worse wrong with it. I went through so many exchanges with the V600 2 1/2 years ago that I really don't want to start that again. Any suggestions?

Yeah I had so many RAZR's last summer................I just called the exchange dept. my only other options were to break it and get a new one for $50 or buy a phone at full retail.
