I was looking to get a new smart/pocket pc phone and i need help. I want the 8525 but its too much money for me. that said i narrowed it down to the Cingular 8125 or blackjack; and i dont know which one i want, i will be using mostly for internet and messaging and media. Can you guys pleas help and give me the pros and cons of both, or if you have any suggestions on any other phone.
Oh and is there any way to edit documents on the blackjack?!?

For multimedia purposes the 8125 will serve you better as it has a larger screen, a more powerful processor, and full-blown Windows Mobile 5. I don't have any experience with the blackjack, but I do currently have a dash (same family), and I can tell you that if you don't mind the heft, and prefer more powerful (read: configurable) handheld, then the 8125 is the way to go. If you are looking for something more aesthetically elegant and less functional, then go with the blackjack. You will still be able to listen to music, but movie playback will be slower, and you will definitely have to optimize (convert) video files for the device. One thing to keep in mind is that phones like the MotoQ/ BlackJack/ Dash operating on Windows Mobile 5 SmartPhone ed. put phone features first, pda features second. Whereas PPC devices such as the 8125/8525 put pda features first and phone features 2nd (and this will be very obvious to you).

Not to be too much of a grouch, but the 8125 does not have a more powerful processor. I would normally say that the Pocketpc device is almost always better than the smartphone, and in this instance I would still say that with one caveat. If you plan on using a lot of data, you can't compare the edge of the 8125 to the HSDPA of the blackjack. So unless you are in an area without 3g or just cant give up some of the added functionality of the 8125 go for the blackjack.

Oops, you're right cap, i was thinking of the 8525 in that instance.

Blackjack all the way. I have owned both and the blackjack beats it hands down. 8125 will feel cheap in your hand and the black jack is solid.
