My storage memory is getting low. How low is too low and how do I regain it back.

I'd recommend having about 5 megs or more free for storage. More likely than not PIE's cache is what has eaten up that space, so open PIE, then Tools->Options->Memory then click Delete Files. Other than that make sure you haven't downloaded large email attachments or stored large files in your my documents directory. If that is all good and you still have a problem then time to uninstall apps you don't use.
