Razr V3xx video

I've looked, seen it asked a few times, but yet to have seen a definitive answer. How to get VIDEOS on this phone? All the specs I see is MPEG4 video, but it won't recognize it. I used a 3gp converter with no luck. Maybe I didn't convert it right, although I tried all the ones that made sense. This is my first Cingular phone, and I thought that's what made them better than Verizon, ease of getting your own ringtones, graphics and videos on your phone. Any one have a definitive way of getting videos on there? I have a 512mb card, but I wanted to try some small shows, just to see how to do it before I get a bigger card. Thanks.

This has also been a real bummer for me as well.

I simply put my card into my card reader and placed my videos into the video folder. I did format the card while in the phone 1st.

Also, while this doesn't seem to be documented anywhere, video needs to be QCIF (176x144) resolution or smaller to be played. This is a real bummer, as it's a waste of the QVGA screen, and the underlying hardware is more than capable of higher-res video.

Yes this is correct. I used 3GP converter and made sure to use the QCIF setting.

This whole 176x144 video resolution limit sucks. Especially since this phone has a supposedly great GoForce GPU! I guess its just for graphics?

3GP is just the container format - when you encode, you choose whether to use mpeg4, H.263, etc. And yeah, the resolution limitation is ridiculous - the GoForce can decode up to 640x480 at 30fps. It seems the modders are starting to crack the V3xx open, so we'll see what happens.

Is there any way to edit the options that are in the Options left soft key menu? I want to put the "My Stuff" or "Media Finder" in the options. The "Main Menu" right soft key is a waste since you can use the middle button to get to the main menu anyway. I wish there was a way to change the soft key functions.

I'm already using the UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT keys for Recent Calls/Phonebook/Messaging/Office Tools.

You can use the send key for Recent Calls, so that will free up a space on the navigation key.

Pressing the Send key opens up Dialed Calls, not Recent Calls. There's a slight difference. Thanks though.

After pressing the SEND key, press either the * or # key to scroll through "Dialed, Received, Missed, and Recent" calls.

I know, but I need it to default to Recent Calls, instead of pressing 2 keys.
