V3XX - ACC files displaying wrong in Music Player

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Music Player is showing songs (ripped with iTunes-Mac) and using the Composer field as the Artist field. i.e.

The song "Cab" from Train's "For Me, It's You" album, iTunes shows the Artist as Train and Composer as Pat Monahan.

Music Player is showing the Artist as Pat Monahan not Train, Pat Monahan is not listed as Composer in Music Player.

Anybody else experiencing this issue? ACC? MP3?

Also, should album art show if it is embedded in the file?

Thanks!

I know this isn't very helpful an answer, but it works fine for me. I spot checked a few AAC and MP3 files, and all the fields showed as expected.

And yes, album art embedded in AAC files does display - it's a neat feature.

I used iTunes. Everything I tested, be it AAC or MP3, showed up as expected. Anybody else want to chime in?

Thanks for your help. The first time I transfered songs I did it with Bluetooth. This time I pulled the card and tranfered songs via my cardreader. Now the songs show right on the phones music player. Go figure. I will see if I can repeat the problem again when using BT to transfer songs.

I did have it do some funky things to the names of some mp3 ringtones I transferred by Bluetooth. Transferring straight to the flash card seems safer.
