Hello, all!

I have been reading the forum pages for a while now and have decided to join the ranks. I count in an honor to dwell among you. I hope someone here can help me. I have the Audiovox XV6700 through Verizon. I have been having good success with it. I am baffled, however, why my phone keeps switching between EV and 1X. While I am not talking or checking voicemail, the icon at the top reads "EV". As soon as I dial a number and connect, it switched to "1X". My wife has the Treo 700W, and hers stays on "EV" no matter what. Neither of us have the data plan. Can anyone tell me why this happens? Is there anything I can do to keep it on"EV" during my phone conversations? Thanks in advance for your wisdom and insight.

Yup... it doesn't matter in reality all it is doing is indicating what network its currently connected to... doesn't affect how the phone performs, ect.
