wow is the battery life of the 8525 this bad? i was at work today and sent maybe 10 texts, had some emails pushed to me and played a short game and at the end of the day 20% left and it is telling me shut it down. i already have the display at 20% brightness and i have the lcd off as much as possable. any other hints??? where can i get an extended battery thats the same size as original????

Ya, in the beginning it's not so great but it will get better and last longer with a little time I've noticed. There are some battery saving settings that you can tweak to suit your usage and taste too.

I just got an extended off ebay for 25 bucks. 2800ma. Had to do the same before with my mda.Comes with new batt.door and does stick out. I find in landscape mode the tytn will stand up by itself supported by the batt. door. Kinda nice that way.Finding a case might be tricky. There is a 1500 batt. available, but that's not much difference. This batt. should last me all day and into the night with power to spare.

well i have had my 8525 since early dec and its still as bad as ever. i think an extended battery or maybe even an extra battery is my only option which stinks. such a great device but shuch a bad battery

I had my 8525 for about a month now. It started out pretty bad but now it will last a bit longer than before but still not good enough. Thinking about buying extended battery but don't really like the cover sticking out.

i am getting 3 days of light use, or 2 days of normal. only 1 day if i use XM radio alot.
Just keep Bluetooth off and end all background junk a few times a day and im good.

I think boxwave might have the 1500 as oppossed to the 1350 stock battery. It might give you a bit more. (like 150)lol. Or just google it up. I know I`ve seen that 1500 battery in several places for sale on the web. It`s suppossed to be the same size as the stock 1350 battery....or.... Just get the 2800. I love it. No battery saving settings to mess with. Full power all day and nite. I set my wifi to full power and it really flys. To each their own tho......... Just my .02
