P800 Screen Protector Template and Tutorial

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I'm going to keep this simple and short.

Custom P800 Screen Protector Tutorial:

Step 1.

Download the screen protector template from
http://revign.com/P800_ScreenProtector.zip and Unzip the DWG file.

Step 2.

Download a free DWG viewer, or install any famous CAD software to open up and view the template.

Step 3.

Print out the template (14 protectors fit nicely on one page)

Step 4.

Go to any photocopy center and ask for their thinnest and clearest photocopy transparancies.

Step 5.

Photocopy the print-out onto the transparancies and slice out with an exacto knife or cutter.

I'm sorry for the lack of photos but this should be self-explanatory. I've been using one for a while, its all scratched up but not a single mark is on the P800 screen and even though some transparancies are thick, the flip closed mode still works fine.

Cheers.

Thanks for taking the time to do this. I tried it with Autodesk's Volo Viewer, and there is a diagonal line in the lower left and upper right of the drawing which causes the drawing to print out too small. These lines are a different color (aqua) than the rest of the drawing. What have I got wrong? Thanks.

Same here. I also used Volo View and the templates are just too small. Any suggestions?

How do you make it stick?

I imagine static electricity is enough to hold it on the screen, the same way it makes transparency sheets stick to each other.

Can someone convert that drowing to EPS file or AI or CDR???

Fixed the diagonal line problems. so now it should print fine.

Redownload from

http://www.revign.com/P800_ScreenProtector.zip

and use *2.dwg from the zip, it is the updated one

is this for the full screen? or just when the keypad is utilized? I used autocad to view it, but some how it plotted out the approx size only for the screen when the flip is up.

i would just use fellowes screen protectors...aslo waddie has protectors for both the P800 & 3650.

personally...i wouldn't use protection , just find a nice rounded stylus;then on the other hand, i'm not prone to dropping my phones yet
