Tethering with the V3xx

Hi folks,

I am trying to tether my laptop to my newly purchased V3xx. I am using WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM for the username and CINGULAR1 as the password.

I have tried numerous different dialup numbers (*99#, *99***3#, etc.) but I keep getting an error when it is verifying the username/password saying "Disconnected. Error 31: A device attached to the system is not functioning."

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you set the phone to data mode on USB port?

Yes, it is on data mode.

And you do see E or 3G next to signal strength meter on the phone screen?

I have the same setup and it connects me everytime with *99#.

No problems here via usb and bluetooth.

It says 3G next to the signal strength meter.
