MS Voice Command 1.5 on 8525

I'm thinking about buying MS Voice Command for my 8525. Does the voice command work with the contacts saved on your SIM card. For example, if I say " Call Joe" and Joe is saved on my SIM, will it find that contact and call or do I have to save the contacts to the Phone. If I have to save the contacts on the Phone, is there an easy way to copy all my contacts from my SIM to the Phone all at one time? Thanks

I don't have 8525, but do have 8125 running MS VC 1.5. I think the OS should be similar if not the same. yes the contact has to be in the phone, not SIM. There is a utility in system menu that copies all contacts from SIM to phone, but NOT vice versa.

Its under the SIM Manager, which can be found under the contacts menu. Just select all, and copy to phone.

I would also highly recommend getting Voice Command 1.6 instead of 1.5. You'll get much better BlueTooth support.

I thought v1.6 did not work well.

That is only bcause of compatibilty of BT support on different implementations of phones. However, VC 1.5 has no BT support at all. Some support is better than none. So why waste money on an older version?
