Noticed it this evening. I am interested in the version/build numbers on one these units.

Appearently they are not yet selling unlocked models. They did announce that they would be selling unlocked Treo 750's in Europe very soon. But the one they're sellling at Palm.com is still the same locked to Cingular and Cingular Branded/ROM.
Just in case anyone was wondering.

looks like the same price as cingy,
and no choice of colors.....
what is the benefit of buying from palm, I figured they'd offer something similar to the 680 deal, cheaper or atleast a choice of colors....
I just don't get it.....
very disappointed

No contract or contract extension is the number 1 reason to me...

You can get the same Cingular Treo 750 from Cingular without contract extension for the same price, $650.
You don't have to get it from Palm.
Besides, Cingular's return and warantee policy is a little better than Palm, I believe.

For my area the prices are the same, but you will save tax. But on the other hand I can walk across the street and get one for the same price. If there is a problem, I can walk it right back!

I actually expected a price break from palm, or atleast a choice of colors...
I'm actually considering the 8525 now....with the palm tweaks I can't really see too much of a downside.... I currently have the 8125 and it is the biggest piece! I've had it since it first came out, so it has lasted, but I was really intrigued by the palm. Now I'm just not sure
