ok so how many people have the sticky key problem

my top keys make the sticky sound but they dont look like they will peel back

should i get a new one??

I took my first V3xx back for this issue. I'm picky, but the crinkly/sticky sound every time I touched keys at the top of the pad was too much for me.

mine doesn't have htis, the hinge is tight too. Does the bad key and loose hinge go together?

Mine is good too, thankfully. I'd exchange it for a new one until you get one that's good.

I went through 2 because of the sticky keypad, forst one at the top, second one in the middle, the third one is okay so far(knocking on wood right now...ha ha)

Just for the heck of it I stopped into wal mart and went through thee inventory. Out of 15 units, all had the small amount of play in the flip when closed but where all tight when open. 5 of the 15 had the raising keypad around he 5 key. I kept the one I had! lol

This "sticky" keypad issue - does anyone think that it will go away after a few hundred key presses? Maybe it is just a wear-in issue?

just traded for a new one. no problem trading it, new one has a a slight sticky key problem, not as bad as the first. i also checked a co workers phone and his is the same, slight stickiness. Maybe that just how they are.

Having a similar problem, although I'm not going to go through the exchange process unless I'm sure I'll get one that is free of the problem--has anyone exchanged for a non-sticky device?

Posted by: netlennium

I exchanged for another with no sticky keys whatsoever. I would certainly do it in a retail store, if possible, so you can be sure you're leaving with a good one.

Wirelessly posted (Walkguru's: LG-CU500 Obigo/WAP2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

Well mine seams ok, so far.

I don't have the sticky-key problem, but when I press the send key the phone instead acts as if I have pressed the go-online key. Now, that's a serious problem!

1 out of 2 of my phones had that issue. I think it's because I removed the plastic sheet off the keypad too fast on the 2nd one. On the first phone, I peeled it off slowly. On the 2nd phone, I sorta ripped it off.
