Having trouble connecting to WIFI away from home

Before I updated to the new ROM, I could drive through town and pick up everybody wireless internet but now, I can't pick it up anywhere! It does work on my home wireless internet though.....I went to a WIFI cafe today and still couldn't get anything. Please help.
