Anyone actually use "LG PC Sync Software"?

I am looking for any more detailed information on lg's sync software. I have done a million searches but can't really find decent screen shots/features list.

I use bitpim just fine but am looking for a feature where I can directly sync both contacts and calendar with outlook. LG Syncronization Manager for older gsm phones does exactly that. You have it run in the sys try and as soon as the phone attaches it syncs with outlook (like activsync) no need for a middle man like bitpim that actually syncs with outlook then again syncs with the phone.

Anyhow, if anyone could say for sure if this app did that I would pony up the money. Else bitpim is still the champ.

LG PC Sync Software

Also wanted to ad that I have been messing with the software lg offers to the rest of the WORLD! for free (ie. pc sync packages from australia, mexico, china ... and so on)
Depending on the package they do in fact sync directly with outlook. I can even get a few to start to sync with the 9800 I have but the sync fails. It seems to be either a missing DLL issue and/or cdma issue. I have tried cross moving the dll files from different packages but no luck. I had the best luck with the sync package for the MX800 from the brazil lg site. It starts to sync and looks good but then fails for an unknown reason. Probably some mundane ini file detail.

Anyhow, still wondering if anyone can confirm what the US package does for sure.

This Australian Web site has software for many LG phones.

I personally have installed and used the phone synch software for the TU500 on my CU500 (they are basically the same phone) to backup my address book to my PC and it works perfectly. There is also an app that synchs the address book on CU500 with Outlook that I haven't tried but others have told me it works.

Yeah, Unfortunatly that version wont work with mine (vx9800)
Its strange, it seems like lg has about 5-7 different builds sprinkled around the world. Then for each phone then include a different .dll file or config file depending on what your phone needs. I caved and just bought the version that is supposed to work with all the vx (verizon) models and it does seem to work but won't sync directly with outlook. You need to sync with the pim program and import/export to outlook wich is what bitpim does for free.

Now though that I have the dll for my phone I am trying to get it to work with a version that direct syncs.

Kicker is that for your phone I believe you need to download a build for another phone and then move the dll for your phone to that version for direct sync (saw that detail on mobile-files.com) but unfortunatly for me that doesn't work as easily with the 9800.

oh, in case anybody is confused ... the dll file I am talking about is not the same dll you can use to flash the 9800 its a smaller dll that works with the sync softwares only.

Its also worth noting that at least 2 of the builds I mentioned being sprinkled around the world use the same dll and program structure as Susteens Datapilot. So either susteen pays lg to redistribute or the other way around. But lg an susteen are holding hands so to speak.

I love my v but so far lg seems to have the worst post purchase support/accessory options compared to other companies. (I have had mayhaps 6 phones from 4 companies )

What (Australian Phone) would you say is comparable to a UX 245?
Thanks.

Got me, when it comes to phones I am a little self centered. Only really have been looking at my own.

Check the pics, at least something that looks the same is a start. Brazil and latin america also have alot of cdma and gsm phones with free software download

Has anyone managed to connect up their LG prada with the software that comes with it?

This is my first time with a LG phone. The pcsync software looks pretty abysmal so is there any other software to manage the LG prada?

If anyone has connected up the LG prada then please share: I am running win xp 64 bit.

Secondly what software is used for hacking/editing the software like seem editing etc to personalise it/flash with latest software?

thanks in advance..
