Verizon Razr V3cm wallpaper

I have BitPim working fine and I have made a Photograph the correct size 176X220 and dropped it in the phone directory of Motorola/Shared/photos. When I go to the Tools/Display/wallpaper the name is there but there is an x where the photo should be. How do I get this to work and use the photo as my wallpaper?

I think the image may be in a format that the phone can't read. Try converting it to something else. Jpeg works well.
