I've tried three version of P2K, and I get:

whenever I switch the pop-up to my phone. Is my USB port bad?

No just keep trying. Are any of the following running in the background MSU, PST, MPT or RSD ? If not ONE of needs to be. Plug in the phone and wait for autostart to show the phone in p2k mode then try to access it (The phone).
