Step 1
Dont panic!

Step 2
Remove the battery for about 30 sec, reinsert it, turn the phone on. Do you get a white screen? If you do, the phone isnt bricked and is recoverable. If not, you've got a problem. If you do get a white screen, what else do you get?

No, your phone doesnt need to be unlocked in order to Flash.

If you get the white screen, that's great. Your phone isn't damaged at all. Probably what happened is one of the following:

1.) You attempted to flash the MAIN and/or FS, and it was unsuccessful.
2.) You attempted to change the CDA/Custpack, and it was unsuccessful and/or done incorrectly.

Either way, what you want to do is flash the correct MAIN and FS file, and the correct custpack. There are several guides here on this site and www.se-nse.net that you can read that will walk you through it. It sounds to me like you got everything right except the custpack, so make sure you're doing that part properly.

I Wouldnt Recommned Reflashing with phonexs if you dont know what your doing. just take the safe route with wotan

The only difference between flashing with PhoneXS and Wotan is that you dont have to wait for Wotan.. and you're giving someone your hard earned money :P But, if its worth that to you, knowing there are 2 free methods, go for it!

can someone help me here, i just used the WotanClient and it froze on me for an hour. The client didn't finish the setup, so i ended up closing the program and disconnected the phone, now the phone won't even turn on, not even to the white screen. I just got it 2 days ago... anything i can do, either talk to SonyEricsson anything??

alright i've given up...
does anyone know if i bring the phone back to the provider, will they know what i was trying to unbrand it? or that it was used?
cause i was using the phone the last 2 days, and i was thinking of going in with the story of "the phone was defective and wouldn't start up when i got it"

will that work?? because my phone won't even turn on period. Plugged into the charger, computer, nothing. it wont respond or recognize. I used WotanServer which looks similar to that.

it's brand new still and under warranty, i called Ericsson and they said if the retailer doesnt take it back they would fix it, so im hoping that works

wotan is what like 9 dollars and he used xs and he messed it up...why would you do it again
go with wotan....
