I would like to access the web page www.mlsstratus.com from my phone but the messages I get is that "Your current browser is not compatible with Stratus MLS. Stratus requires Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later” Their most be a way that I could browses this page from my Dash…help a brother out!!!

So you already have the new WM6 Crossbow Rom? How do you like it so far?

Even if you have crossbrow installed, you will still get the same error message, since the Crossbow Internet explorer is not 5.0. It's a smartphone version of IE. What you need to do is do a register hack to make IE in 5.0 or 6.0 or whatever.

You can't on either count. End of the story. Both are part of WM5 ROM specific to your phone model.

Chances for HTC to release a WM6 ROM update are next to none.

Yes you can. You can regedit whatever browser you want. Currently I have my dash to transmit that I'm using VISTA using IE 6.0

I'm talking about update IE, not reg hack. Even if you can hack it to respond to whatever you like, it does not mean your PIE funtionally same as IE 5.0 or 6.0. You may fool some web sites but definitely not all web sites.

I'm talking about transmitting browser information. I am aware that a simple regedit cannot miraculously turn IE 4.1 into IE 6.0 along with all it's functionality. Most people, including myself change it to access websites that require 5.0 or higher. So far I have had no problems "tricking" the websites.

Why dont you put up the reg hack for the gentlemen asking about it. So he can view his website.
