PROBLEMS with KX5 ( slider remix )

This phone is a piece of garbage. I know because as of today I have had FIVE OF THEM!!! The first one started acting up after the first week I got it, it would shut itself off, freeze up and turn itself on/off vibrate. I paid 85 bucks to get a replacement and the insurance sent me two different handsets that did not have the option to send pic messages. I took the second one to my service provider and they swapped it out for another one. I had that one for aprox. 2 months and all of a sudden the earpiece stopped working so I could only hear people when the speakerphone was engaged. I even tried to hook it up to a bluetooth and still could not hear a thing. So I shelled out yet more money to exchange that P.O.S. through a "warranty exchange program." Suppossedly if the problem is covered under warranty I will get the money credited back. I'm sure I'll never see a dime.

Bottom line is if you are considering buying this piece of crap phone, DONT!! Its plauged with problems... avoid it at all costs. My next model will be a Nokia...

so you had problems with the phone and yet you kept buying more units? god bless consumerism!

I did not buy more units by any choice of my own. The insurance sent me two and I've had to exchange 2. God bless people who do not comprehend what they read.

Kyocera warrants their handsets for one year from the original date of purchase. You don't have to pay a dime if you didn't cause the damage and the phone is under a year old. Insurance is for loss, theft, accidental damage, etc and involves a deductible. Kyoceras warranty covers all defects with the handset within one year of purchase at no cost. In fact, Kyocera will usually just ship you a replacement phone once they do the initial damage check.
