Ok I have two different email accounts that I want stuff pushed to on my 8525 phone, but someone told me that only one at a time can be set up through ActiveSync. Is that true? Why is it that I cant have two email addys receiving emails on my phone? Anybody know if this is possible?

Also, is there a way to set activesync or my phone to disconnect from the internet after checking or syncing the email?

I don't believe you can hook up two Exchange accounts, but I'm not 100% sure on that, sorry. As for the question about disconnecting the Internet, why would you? It doesn't affect the ability to answer calls.

You could (in theory) hook the phone up to the exchange server via activesync for one of the accounts and have it pull down the other email via IMAP. No way to sync two exchange servers through activesync though.

On HTC website: http://www.america.htc.com/support/8525/default.html it says that it cannot be done.

it drains the battery life and I feel like it's a waste to have on if you arent using it

how do I do the IMAP thing?

I have my 8525 ActiveSync to my work Exchange server and I use IMAP to connect to my personal Exchange server. Exchange supports IMAP out-of-the-box, and every commercial Exchange providor I know of supports IMAP. However, you will have to check with your network admin to see if IMAP is supported by your Exchange server.

You set it up just like you would setup a standard email account by going to Menu->Tools->New Account in Messaging.
