i need to make sure a phone i bought isnt stolen, i found a guy who sold me one for an awsome price, and would love to buy more but before i do i want to make sure they aint jacked.

since i dont have a cingular account i cant check, and since its a GSM phone it can still work fine with an active sim even if it is stolen, so

is there anyone that can help me out?

Besides, if anyone were able to get this info, it would be a violation to give it out. FYI, Cingular doesnt blacklist IMEI's, so if its stolen, not much you can do about it. If you dont trust the guy, or he seems shady, dont buy from him. Simple as that.
