Blackjack: What software do you use?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hi all.. I just got me a blackjack and I'm loving it so far. I've been doing some software searches and I'm curious what others have loaded (and where). I assume you can load the software onto the MicroSD card? Just curious what you all are using: home screen replacements, biz programs, games...

Many thx!

I personally think that Facade is the best program to get with the blackjack. also, Resco reg edit is another quality program.

It's a program that alters your today screen.

Google for the ultimate WIN!

I have that JGUI start screen program. Real smooth and good looking but it freezes occasionally and is a battery murderer. That and the 3g will kill a battery in 10-12 hours. Resco is necessary (reg edit and explorer) google maps and ms live search are great as well.

thanks everyone.. I just put on google maps.. quite nice. I will look into facade and see what it's all about.

BTW.. should all these programs be installed to a MicroSD card? Will it ask me where I want to install via the activesync? I don't have a card yet so it didn't ask me for a few games I put on there already.... don't want to use up all my internal space! thx!!

Facade was just what i was looking for. I have two questions.

Can I buy it and load it on two of my blackjack phones (wife and I)?

Is their a free weather program that can be added to the today screen?

If I buy pocket msn (doesn't come with blackjack for some reason) will it show up on my today screen or will i have to go to the menu?

Ok that was three questions!!!!

Thanks in advance for your help

1. SBSH Facade
2. Resco Explorer
3. Resco Registry
4. Resco Photo Viewer
5. Windows Live Search
6. Documents To Go Preview
7. Lonely Cat Games Profimail
8. Handmark Pocket Express
9. OMAP Click Plus (264 MHz)
10. Google Maps
11. CorePlayer
12. Fizz Weather 2

There are a couple more that I haven't paid for, but not sure if I will. All the others I've shown are paid for, and are wonderfully stable.

Where can I get live messenger for the blackjack?

Here is a 1 gb microsd card for 9.95. I have this one, and it works well. Kingston 1GB MicroSD card

I have everything most have been mentioning like facade, docs to go, live search, etc...i also have siriuswm5, photodialer, which i love using depending on which homescreen i am using, i have newscopier for my rss feeds, which works great and refreshes channels with no problems, and i use agile messenger from my instant messaging. dont have time for games so i couldnt recommend. love that madden 07 for 3 bucks though!!!

im honestly content with the programs i have running on my blackjack. it is the absolute perfect device with all these programs running flawlessly. and i enjoy all this with the extended battery which im buying another of to just swap batts. love the feel of the bj much better. gives it that manly touch.

there u go, that should do the trick

thx everyone.. I loaded up facade with fizzweather and phonealarm along with Juni's awesome landscape display... what a look! I also added in sprite backup (so I don't have to go through the setup again should I need to hard reset!) and Pocket Controller (to make adding all those contacts much easier).

Does everyone just use the built in contact manager or is there a better product out there? I'd love to know before I start adding in all my contact info... thx!

What is Juni's Landscape Display...and where do I get it?

Thanks.

Juni is IMO a master graphics man and has created many free and $$ homescreens for pocket PC's.. recently he picked up a samsung phone and so has been busy spinning his magic creating homescreens for it. You can get the good stuff either off the sbsh.net facade forums or just head on over to http://www.kolumbus.fi/anders.ruohio/sp.html. I'm using the organizer blue one since that's really the only one that is landscape to support the BJ. I'm sure Juni will be doing all the others in landscape soon too.... Enjoy!

I you're into OS X/Mac, then you should check out this homescreen/skin:

Quite remarkable. I'm not even a Mac guy and I use this thing. It's pretty sweet.

I need a Adobe PDF viewer.
The picsel viewer opens the page very small and I have to keep zooming in - even when I save the page to open at 200%, picsel ignores it.

All I found at Adobe was an acrobat viewer for pocket PC and not for the Blackjaack.

Any ideas?
