PS: What is the complete flash ID string on these Rogers V3T's ???.. See my "sig" above to see what a Motorola id string should look like, then post back!!!

Reason?: I'm looking for a newbie on another board... have run a search and am looking for the id string to run a google search to see if I can find it for the guy.

All the file service work pretty much the same. For example via megaupload.com you go to www.megaupload.com, browse to the file upload. Before uploading go to the file, select properties and cut and past the file name into the description box., upload the file, and once uploaded there is a "link" that appears that you can share with others.

To Check bootloader verison
Press and HOLD the * and # key while powering UP.

Screen will show the bootloader, firmware, flex version.

And finally, lets not forget the one built-in yahoo smiley gif file with the corrupted filename that had the tendency to disappear and reappear. I tried to rename it to fix the corrupted character and bring it inline with the naming scheme of the other emoticons (whose use elludes me since Rogers seems to have removed any and all IM apps from the device), but the filesystem and P2kCommander were random about recognizing it and completely unwilling to rename, copy, move, or delete it.


I know Rogers is sending me out a new phone that'll hopefully leave any and all problems like this behind me, but I have an uncontrollable need to debug this thing. Parents, look out for your children, this is what happens when you let them get computer science degrees
