Blackjack Battery Review

I am really not sure what all the complaints are with the blackjack and battery life. I came from the Treo 750, and that had horrible battery life. I had both checking the exchange server every 5 min during 8-6pm, and 15min checks after that. I used the calendar, and web on both. The Treo barely makes it a day. The Blackjack was only down 1/6 in power from a full charge from 6:30am to 11:30pm. The battery is very good! I even listened to some videos and was messing with the phone throughout the day.

I am using the extended battery the phone came with.

I switched to the extended battery and am pleased with it.

I hated the extended battery and don't use it anymore. I went back to the original battery and for some reason it lasts much longer then it used to. Don't know why, maybe it is like a fine wine, getting better with age.

I am in 3G all day and night, email gets checked every 15 minutes, use the phone plenty, a lot of texts and tons of internet usage and not much gets drained.

i get almost 2 days on the standard battery. the last time i used the extended battery i was going over 2 and half days and still going..

Why do you have it check the exchange server every 5 minutes? That wastes lots of battery. Use DirectPush, it saves a lot of power!

new phones come with an extended batt. in the box anyway, was happy to see that mine did.

I bought the extended battery as well, in retrospect I probably didn't need it. It's nice though when I fly somewhere for just a day and am gone from 6 AM to 11 PM. I can email, voice, web, tether, and orb all day and have no worries....For everyday use though, my standard seems to have gained about 20-30% more life from the first couple of charges.

I was glad to see the extended battery & cover in the box with the phone when it came in the mail. And, after the struggle to remove the standard battery cover...I have kept the extended battery in the phone just because it's cover is so much easier to get off...but I probably don't need it at all. In fact, I'm on my way out of town today, and I'm going to put in the standard battery just to see what the life span is...

Yes, the extra battery charger is still included.

My BJ came with two standard batteries and of course the extra charger. Im going to order an extended battery for it. Will the extended battery work in my charger? Or are there two different extrenal charger models available?

Just wanted to give a heads up to those of you that have 2 standard batteries and want an extended one. I happened to need a warranty replacement (it was legit) and they sent me a new phone w/ the extended battery and a standard one. I returned my originally phone w/ the two standard ones.
